Traunkirchen

Peninsula village on the Traunsee with the famous fishermen's pulpit altar.

Traunkirchen juts into the Traunsee as a narrow peninsula, facing the Traunstein. Its parish church holds the unique baroque fishermen's pulpit shaped like a fishing boat. The Johannesberg chapel on the rock above the lake is one of the region's most photographed sights.
